Your clients' personal styles will help determine the clothes they wear, what they believe looks good on them, and how you'll work to further develop their wardrobes and build complete outfits. While defining a personal style can often be difficult, it's something that must be done in order to properly service your clients. To simplify this process for you, we've packed everything about personal style into two books: Personal Style and Influences on Personal Style.
You'll start off by learning about the importance of personal style and then move into how to define it. We'll teach you about the six main personal styles: classic, trendy/chic, dramatic, natural, romantic, and creative. You'll see how to identify each style, as well as combinations of them, in any client's wardrobe using the Personal Style Quiz provided in the Online Student Center. You are encouraged to use this quiz when meeting with clients for consultations and have unlimited access to it even after you graduate.
Lastly, you'll learn how to incorporate your clients' personal styles when developing their wardrobes. We'll teach you the importance of sticking to what you know and encouraging your clients to purchase universal basics, as well as how to build on top of the basics to really make your clients' personal styles shine.
